Marie Addington Kulp-Horn

Marie Addington Kulp-Horn, 86, passed away on March 17, 2007 in Shreveport, LA. During her life she requested to pen her own obituary. These are her words. I was born the seventh child of Will and Elsie Addington on December 24, 1920 in Cheneyville, LA. I was preceded in death by my parents, five brothers, one foster brothers, and two sisters. There is one sister remaining, Mrs. Derinda Garner and husband Elvin of Montgomery, LA. I am survived by my three dear children: Lyn Kulp and husband Alvin Martinez of Zwolle, LA, Lou Kulp of Shreveport, LA, and Danny Kulp and wife Penny of Shreveport, LA. I am also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Pall bearers will be Lee Stridsberg, Morgan Stidsberg, Alvin Martinez, Pete Wooley, John Smith, and Chip Dickey. Honorary Pallbearers will be Kenneth Bailey, Tommy Harrison, Donald Erwin, and Jason Zylman. In lieu of flowers, please take someone you love out to eat. Funeral services will be at the First Baptist Church in Montgomery, LA at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday March the 20th, 2007. Rev. Ray Teal will officiate. The visitation will be held at Blanchard St Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Monday, March the 19th, 2007.
