Rufus Wayne LaCaze

Funeral service for Rufus Wayne LaCaze will be held 11 AM Wednesday, March 21, 2007 in Blanchard St. Denis Chapel with Rev. Billy Shugart officiating. Burial will be in Russell Cemetery at Montrose, La. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 20, 2007 from 5 PM until 9 PM and on Wednesday, March 21, 2007 from 8 AM until service time in the funeral home. Mr. LaCaze, 65, of Montrose, La., died Sunday, March 18, 2007, in his residence at Montrose, La. He was a native and lifelong resident of Montrose, La. He was a retired carpenter. He was a veteran of Louisiana National Guard He was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Jane LaCaze; parents, Bill LaCaze and Janie Bonds LaCaze. He is survived by his wife Yvonne Dufour LaCaze; one daughter, Dottie Sue LaCaze of Alabama; two step-daughters, Diana Smith of Gardner, La. and Rebecca Issac and fiancee' Freddy Miller of La Place, La.; one step-son, Jimmy Rachal and wife Sonya of Sieper, La. two grandchildren, nine step-grandchildren, and two step-great-grandchildren; serveral nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Justin Smith, Josh Rachal, Jami Rachal, Chris Smith, Kevin Smith, Jimmy Rachal, Bobby Powell, and Luke Powell. Honorary pallbearers will be Zachary Patero, Ean Pace, Jayden Rachal, Joe Issac, Carrie Rachal, Jessica Rachal, Mindi Rachal, Freddy Miller, April LaCaze, Jimmy LaCaze.
