Agnes Bodak

December 23, 1915 — March 14, 2007

Agnes Bodak, 91, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at the Natchitoches Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Agnes was born on a farm in Ironwood, Michigan. Her mother died soon after and her father remarried. Altogether she had 12 siblings. She moved to Detroit where she married John in 1937. They raised Larry, Janet and Mary and were married for 52 years when he passed away. Agnes had many talents which she shared with her large family and many friends. She volunteered with the Red Cross and was very active in her church community. In 1986 she moved to Natchitoches to be near Janet. She lived at Cane Gardens and The Arbor. Agnes was preceded in death by her parents, Gasper Kosuth and Anna Mraz Kosuth, stepmother Katherine Kovack Kosuth, six brothers, five sisters, husband John Bodak and son Lawrence Bodak. Those left to cherish her memory are her brother Charles Kosuth of Tomahawk, Wisconsin; two daughters and their husbands, Janet and Leonard Ernst of Campti and Mary and Tom Sutton of Snohomish, Washington; her grandchildren, Cynthia Bartholomew and her husband Kevin of Dallas, Texas, Catherine Weimer and her husband Brad of Raceland, Sonny Ernst and his wife Angie of Pineville, Katie Sutton, Hannah Sutton and Rachael Sutton of Snohomish, Washington, Sue Caudle and her husband Don of Spring, Texas and Sarah Bodak of Littleton, Colorado; her ten great grandchildren, Kathleen and Christian Bartholomew, Hunter, Lauren, Barrett and Tyler Weimer, Katlin and Jonah Ernst and Anna and Sophie Caudle. Her memory will also be cherished by numerous relatives and friends. Funeral services will be at Nativity Church in Campti. Visitation and rosary will be at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 23rd and a Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 24th. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Women's Resource Center of Natchitoches or Nativity Church in Campti.
