A service celebrating the life of Gail Procell will be 1 pm Wednesday, January 5, 2011 in the chapel of Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home with Rev. Ernie Rains officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery near Hagewood, LA under the direction of Blanchard St. Denis. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 9pm on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home. Mrs. Procell, 61 years of age, passed away Sunday, January 2, 2011 in Alexandria, LA. She was born October 13, 1949 to the late Willard Bayles and late Mary Leola Bayles in Natchitoches,LA. She was also preceded in death by her first husband Alvin Strebeck and her best friend Rosie McGough. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Wilmer Procell; 3 daughters, Crisitie Graves and her husband Albert Graves of Robeline, Kerry Valdez of Eugene, OR and Shannon Figueroa Mencia and her husband William Figueroa Mencia of Robeline; 5 grandchildren, Jacqueline Strebeck, Dustin Elkins, Jennifer Sims, Melissa Strebeck and Malakai Sandoval; 7 great grandchildren, Alexis Strebeck, Jenna Elkins, Hunter Rivers, Austin Sims, Elyssa Strebeck, Jonah Elkins and Laykyn Sims; best friends Margaret Masters and Roger Armond. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Clarence Vanhook, Rodolfo Vargas, Jesus Valdez, Jesus Arenas, Cody Malbrough and Harold Elkins. Honorary pallbearers will be Dustin Elkins, Malakai Sandoval, Austin Sims and Hunter Rivers.
