Funeral service for J.H. DuBois will be held Friday, February 11, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home with Rev. Ryan Humphries officiating. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in the Trichell Community. The family will receive friends from 10 am until service time on Friday, February 11, 2011 at the funeral home.
Mr. DuBois, 76 years of age, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2011. He was born May 18, 1934 to the late Leo DuBois and late Vera Thompson DuBois in Natchitoches Parish.
He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He retired as a dredge boat operator. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family and friends. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Mary DuBois of Libuse; son, James Henry DuBois, Jr. and his wife Donna of Pollock; daughter Krisina Frazier and her husband Tim of Pineville; sisters, Hazel Session and her husband Charlie of Midland, TX and Betty Collins of Natchitoches; brother, John Westerfield and his wife Patty of Shreveport; he was blessed with eight grandchildren, Logan, Landon, Layken, Ariana, Matthew, Bethany, Andrew and Hollye; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many close friends.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Tim Frazier, Richard Lemoine, Bobby Butler, Jimmy Butler, Doug Phillips, Eddie Coleman, James Watkins, and Charlie Sessions.
