Everette Neil Jordan

Everette Neil Jordan, 78, of Galveston, Texas died April 21, 2007 in Houston after complications from long-term respiratory illness. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Doris Jane Tinsley Jordan of Galveston; daughter Janet Jordan of Galveston; son Robert Edward Jordan of Addison, Texas; brother Lt. Col. E. E. Jordan, Ret. of Columbus, Georgia; and niece Eugenia Jordan Sutton of LaGrange, Georgia. Neil was born October 4, 1928 to Dr. and Mrs. E.E. Jordan in Robeline, Louisiana where he developed a life-long interest in hunting and fishing. After naval tours of duty during the Korean War, he completed his BSEE degree at Louisiana Tech University and registered as a Professional Engineer in Louisiana and Texas. He was employed by Gulf States Utilities in Beaumont, Texas and later by Mobil Chemical Company in Beaumont and in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia. He retired in 1988 after a successful career as an Electrical Engineer. His family will hold a memorial service at the Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA on June the 2nd at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at the Robeline cemetery following the services.
