Mary Rachal

Services for Mary Catherine Hunt Rachal, 78, will be Wednesday, May 2, 2007, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church at Cloutierville, LA at 2:00 PM with Rev. Harold Imamshah officiating. Interment will be at Rachal Cemetery in Marco, LA under the direction of Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA. The visitation will be Tuesday, May 1, 2007 from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. The funeral home will be open for visitation from 8:00 a.m. to the service time Wednesday. Mrs. Rachal passed away peacefully on Monday, April 30, 2007, after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born November 17, 1928 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the union of Homer Hunt and Florence Farrell Hunt. She was a homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, and a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church in Monette Ferry, LA. She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandchild, Victoria Catherine Brossett. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 55 years, Edmond Louis "Eddie" Rachal; five children, Becki Rachal of Marco, LA, Debby Rachal and husband Mark of Natchitoches, LA, Shelia Zimmerman and husband Jeff of Gonzales, LA, Edmond Terrance Rachal and wife Sherri of Gonzales, LA, and Antoinette Toni Brossett and husband Tim of Cloutierville, LA; nine grandchildren, Kari, Chase, Erin, Blake, Laura, Chase Anthony, Devon, Edmond Michael, and Garrett; four great-grandchildren, Logan, Noah, Ethan, and Victoria; three sisters-in-law's, Lucille, Rozelia "Beebe", and Anaise'; and three first cousins, Pat, Jeanette, and Paula.
