James was a loving father, friend, and man. He was full of love and cared for all of those around him. He loved life and lived it to the fullest with a twinkle in his eye and a smile upon his face. He was a hard worker, and was always ready to get the job done. As a minister who loved God, he was always willing to share the gift that his Heavenly Father had given him. He was truly a blessing to all those who knew him. If he could say one thing to each person who reads this, he would say that Jesus is the way, salvation is your ticket, and Heaven is worth waiting for. Life is short and times move fast, choose Jesus today, because it might be your last. James 4:14 “Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.” James will truly be missed by everyone that knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Coburn and Velma Owens Coburn; and one sister, Betty Sue Weldon.
He is survived by his two sons, Justin Ryan Coburn and wife Amber of Timpson, TX and Joshua Blake Coburn of Pineville, LA; three grandchildren, Kinley Coburn of Timpson, TX, Bentley Posey of Natchitoches, LA, and Bailey Posey of Natchitoches, LA; the mother of his children, Romana Van Mol of Woodworth, LA; two brothers, Malcom Eugene Coburn of Colmesneil, Texas and Kenneth Leo Coburn of Florien, LA and one nephew, Tommy Lynn Coburn of Florien, LA.
