James Carroll Anding

James Carroll Anding, age 81, of Natchitoches, LA, passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2011, at Natchitoches Regional Medical Center in Natchitoches, LA. Arrangements are being handled by Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA, where the family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM Friday, April 15, 2011. The funeral service will be at Blanchard St. Denis Chapel at 11:00 AM Saturday, April 16, 2011, with Rev. Thomas Worsham and Rev. Dean Crittenden officiating. Interment will be at Oak Grove Methodist Cemetery in Natchitoches, LA. James never met a stranger. He was a very compassionate and giving man, always considering the needs of others. He was very nurturing, but also had a great sense of humor and loved to pull a good prank. He enjoyed fellowship with his friends and family and was devoted to God and to his church. He was very strong, had a great heart, and always had a smile. He was a great husband, father, and grandfather, and will be greatly missed by all. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Anding and Ida (Radford) Anding; six brothers, Rolfe Anding, Ray Anding, Curtis Anding, Raymond Anding, Robert Anding, and Wilbur Anding; and one sister, Iver Mae Treadway. He is survived by his wife Katherine Stephens Anding of Natchitoches, LA; two sons, James Mark Anding and wife Sharon of Minden, LA and Curtis D Anding of Natchitoches, LA; two daughters, Susan Anding Edwards and husband Roger of Natchitoches, LA and Jamie Michelle Anding of Natchitoches, LA; and six grandchildren, Darrell Edwards, Daniel Edwards, Justin Anding, David Edwards, Matthew Anding, and Ethan Heard.
