Funeral service for Myrtle Horn Garsee will be held 10:30 AM Thursday, May 17, 2007 in Coldwater Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Sharp officiating. Burial will be in Coldwater Baptist Cemetery at Hagewood, La. under the direction of Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home of Natchitoches, La. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 16, 2007 from 5 PM until service time on Thursday, May 17, 2007 in Coldwater Baptist Church at Hagewood, La. Mrs. Garsee, 75, of Natchitoches, La., died Tuesday, May 15, 2007, at Natchitoches Regional Medical Center in Natchitoches, La. She was a native of Robeline,, La. She was a homemaker and a member of Coldwater Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by one son, Sonny Compton; sisters, Christine Crittenden and Nadine Odom; brothers, L. V. Horn, Truley Horn and Billy Horn; parents, L. D. Horn and Mary Frances Mitchell Horn. She is survived by her husband Herbert Garsee; two daughters, Kathy Rushing and husband David and Donna Compton; two sons, Randy Compton and wife Melinda and Allen Garsee and wife Cathy;seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; two sisters, LaVell Cheatwood and Blanche Shirey; two brothers, Jack Horn and Willie Dee Horn. Pallbearers will be Scott Coutee, Nick Hughes, Jeremy Harris, Kevin Cheatwood, David Cheatwood, and Paul Cormane. Honorary pallbearer will be Eric Potter.
