Visitation service for Surapon 'Tom' Cholvitee will be 5 PM until 9 PM Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home.
Mr. Cholvitee, 55, of Natchitoches, La., died Sunday, May 1, 2011, at LSU Health Sciences Center Shreveport in Shreveport, La.
He was a native of Bangkok, Thailand. Tom served in the Thai National Army and went on to practice law in Bangkok. After moving to the United States, to further his education he eventually became a successful business owner in only a few years. He enjoyed cooking, watching football, and drinking Heineken beer. Family was everything to him and he worked hard to make sure his loved ones never needed or wanted for anything. Tom was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend and will be dearly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lt. and Mrs.Sa-ngha Cholvitee BP.Rachaburi
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Hilda LaRue Cholvitee of Natchitoches, La.; two daughters, Shasitiy Strohschein and husband Liddon of Moreauville, La. and Savannah Harris and husband Jeremy of Natchitoches, La.; one son, Schuyler Cholvitee of Natchitoches, La.; grandchildren, Paris Strohschein, Gabrielle Strohschein, and LaDon Strohschein; grand-dog, Cowgirl; three sisters, Major General Premjit Manmalai, Aunyapim Cholvitee, and Paranee Cholvitee; two brothers, Sathaporn Cholvitee, and Buncha Cholvitee
