Etheline Antee

Etheline Coutee Antee, age 68, of Natchitoches, LA, passed away Monday, May 14, 2007, at the Long Term Care Unit in Natchitoches, LA. She was born July the 31st, 1938 in Natchitoches, LA. She moved to Chicago, IL when she was 26 years old and lived there for 34 years before returning to Natchitoches. She loved to quilt, crochet, shop, and pay monthly visits to the casino. She loved to cook for her family and always has more than enough just in case of a visitor. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Melrose, LA and was a member of the Christian Mothers Society. She was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Nicholas Antee; one brother, Felix James Coutee; and her parents, Ellis Coutee and Margaret Miller Coutee. She is also survived by her three daughters, Annette Antee-Ramirez and husband Ernest of Aurora, IL, Catherine Coutee and husband Collins of Natchitoches, LA, Mary Lucille Coutee and husband Harry of Aurora, IL; one son, James Nicholas Antee, Jr. and wife Charlotte of Midwest City, OK; six sisters, Bessie LaCour and husband Joseph of Natchitoches, LA, Mary Metoyer and husband Ed of Chicago, IL, Florence Coutee of Wood Dale, IL, Estelle Coutee of Natchitoches, LA, Leatrice White of Beaumont, TX, and Vivian Howard of Missouri City, TX; six brothers, Ellis Coutee, Jr. and wife Bonnie of Natchitoches, LA, Collins Coutee of Natchitoches, LA, Harry Coutee of Aurora, IL, Charles Coutee of Natchitoches, LA, Julius Howard of Natchitoches, LA, and Eric Davis and wife Sandra of Natchitoches, LA; fifteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Arrangements are being handled by Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA, where the family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM Thursday, May 17, 2007. A rosary service will be held at 7:30 PM during the visitation. The funeral service will be at St. Augustine Catholic Church at 10:30 AM Friday, May 18, 2007 with Rev. Jacob Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at the St. Augustine Cemetery in Natchez, LA.
