A service to celebrate the life of Sue Chandler will be 2 p.m. Saturday, May 14, 2011 in the chapel of Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5-8p.m. on Friday, May 13, 2011 at the funeral home.
Sue Chandler passed away Thursday, May 5, 2011 in Shreveport, LA. She was born March 8, 1940 in Tuscaloosa, AL to James Coyal Chandler and the late Josephine Webster Fann. When she was six years old her family moved to Montrose, LA. She attended Cypress High but ultimately graduated from Natchitoches High School. After high school, she attended business school, where she received her certificate in business management.
She loved her family. Her children and grandchildren were the light of her life. Spending time with family, friends, visiting nursing homes, reading her Bible, sewing and working in her flower beds was how Sue enjoyed spending her free time.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Josephine Webster Fann and her stepfather Al Fann; grandparents, Leroy Asbury Webster and Nette Elizabeth Webster; three uncles, three aunts, and many other loved ones.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Pamela Edwards and Debby Moore; father, James Coyal Chandler; grandsons, Darrin Hiles Jr., Travis Edwards, James Zachary, Christopher Moore; brothers, Jim Chandler, Allen Fann, Charles Fann; sisters, Pat Carver, JoAnn Helms; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
She contributes the happy times in her life to her heavenly Father, her mother, grandparents, and her support from family and friends.
We all have trials to face in this life, but to go and be content; God has to be in your life. You must trust him and never lose your faith because he will always be there.
