Frances Faye Powell

A service to remember the life of Frances Faye Powell will be at 11 am Sunday, May 22, 2011 in the chapel of Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home with Brother Roger Bynog officiating. Interment will follow at Rocky Mount Cemetery, Robeline, LA. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 9 pm on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at Blanchard St. Denis. Mrs. Powell, 67 years of age, passed away Friday, May 20, 2011 in Mansfield, LA. She was born September 30, 1943 to the late Peter Broadway, Sr. and the late Mertie Romie (Sims) Broadway in Natchitoches, LA. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Alice Taylor and Delores Ivy; and a brother, Julius Wade Broadway. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Aubrey Powell; daughters, Tammy Wyatt and her husband Marvin Wyatt, Jr. and Julie Powell and Craig Cornmesser; son, Kevin Powell and his wife Kaycee; grandchildren, Matthew Wyatt, Zachary Wyatt, Kriste LaTour, Shane Bell, Trevor O’Bannon, Emily Powell, Devin Powell, Hayden Lodridge and Erin Lodridge; great grandchildren, Lyndsey, Jesse, Trinity, Austin, Jay, Lily, Jacob, Dage, and Kylie; siblings, Linda Cobb, Barbara Nell Jordan, Lorene Oxley, Ima Marie Dubois, Ted Broadway, Junior Broadway, Curtis “Hoss” Broadway and Jerry Broadway; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and close friends. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include: Bubba Ivy, Michael Broadway, Dennis Broadway, Tommy Daniels, Brad Dubois and Mike Powell.
