Natchitoches, LA – Francis Ray Aaron, 83, of Natchitoches, Louisiana entered into eternal heavenly rest on May 27, 2011 following a courageous battle with Leukemia.
Frank was born on May 2, 1928 in Natchitoches, LA to the late Julius Simcoe Aaron and Edna Marguerite Hayes. He was married for 59 years to the love of his life, Grace. He was a devoted husband, loving father, faithful friend and Christian and the most positive, uplifting person we have ever known. Frank was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force following service in the Korean War. He then owned and operated Aarons’ store in Natchitoches for many years and later was a realtor.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Julius Simcoe Aaron and Edna Marguerite Hayes, his infant son, John Francis Aaron and his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gerald and Virginia Watkins.
He is survived by his loving wife, Grace Louise Winn Aaron; his children Tonya Ruth Aaron Martin and her husband, Clyde; Stanley Ray Aaron and his wife, Vickie; Kenneth Wayne Aaron; Kim Margaret Aaron Frye and her husband, Steve; and Emily Louise Aaron Greene and her husband, Hunter. Also, fourteen grandchildren, Scott and his wife, Amanda, and Michael Martin; Stan, Kyle and Alex Aaron; Ryan, Adam and Luke Aaron; Allison, Brad and Hannah Frye; and Ashley, Matthew and Lauren Greene. Also, by his brother, Julius Edward Aaron and his wife, Jackie.
Visitation will be on Sunday, May 29, 2011 from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Holy Cross Catholic Church in the Fellowship Hall followed immediately by a Holy Rosary celebrated in the church. A memorial Mass will be held on Monday, May 30, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. also at Holy Cross Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Memphis, TN.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Ochsner Hospital in Baton Rouge and Hope Hospice in Natchitoches for their gentle care for our dear husband, father and grandfather. Also, to Father Jason for his prayers and words of encouragement.
