Leo Brossett, age 82, of Cloutierville, LA, passed away Saturday, May 26, 2007, at his home in Cloutierville, LA. He was born in Cloutierville on April the 29th, 1925 and has lived there his whole life. He was an avid Yankees fan, loved to play Bourre’, and really enjoyed watching “The Price is Right”. He was employed by Shell Oil Company where he worked as a welder. He was a member of the St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Cloutierville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Brossett and Vidalene Rachal Brossett, four brothers, four sisters, and one grandchild, Victoria Brossett.
He is also survived by his wife of 60 years, Alberta Brossett; one daughter, Elise Orr and husband George of Pollock, LA; seven sons, Odell Brossett and wife Virginia of Alexandria, LA, Malcom Brossett and wife Kaye of Boyce, LA, Gregory Brossett and wife Vivian of Boyce, LA, Tim Brossett and wife Toni of Cloutierville, LA, Curtis Brossett and wife Regina of Cloutierville, LA, Britt Brossett and wife Jennifer of Natchitoches, LA, Jessie Brossett of Cloutierville, LA; 21 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; one sister, Margaret Williams of Alexandria, LA; a host of nieces and nephews; and his dog Yo-Yo, a faithful friend of 14 years.
Arrangements are being handled by Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA, where the family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM Monday, May 28, 2007. A Rosary service will be held at 7:00 PM during the visitation and a eulogy will be held after the rosary. The funeral service will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church at 10:00 AM Tuesday, May 29, 2007 with Rev. Harold Imamshah officiating. Interment will be at Cloutierville Catholic Cemetery in Cloutierville, LA.
