Mr. Wilson was born to Clarence and Josephine Metoyer in Isle Brevelle, LA on March 22, 1929. He moved to Chicago at a young age and remained there until his retirement from American Flange & Manufacturing Company. In his 46 years at American Flange he worked his way up the ranks and retired as a Shift Foreman. This was a great accomplishment and he was very proud of this position and himself because he lacked formal education. After retirement he moved to Kentucky the home of his wife Virginia. Upon her death he relocated to the home of his birth, his beloved Cane River. He loved sitting on his porch, waving to the passing cars and gazing at the river reminiscing about old times. He had a loving nature and was known to many as “Uncle Boo”. He was a Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather figure to: Randy, Duard , Shirley, Jennifer , Scott, Robbie, Barbara, Reilly and all the twins. Those left to cherish his memory include his loving stepsons, Randy (Linda) Mosley of Oak Park, Ill, Duard (Terri) Mosley of Elmhurst, Ill and step-daughter, Shirley Jones of Chicago, Ill and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and many precious friends. We would like to give a special acknowledgement to his longtime “Buddies” Fread and Manual Dupree for their many years of friendship and love. Wilson was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife Virginia Metoyer; two brothers Joseph Metoyer , George Metoyer, Sr and one sister Vera Metoyer Lewis.
