Vera Earlene Sandefur

Vera Earlene Cox Sandefur, age 85, of Natchitoches, LA, died Friday, July 8, 2011, at Natchitoches Parish Regional Hospital. Arrangements are being handled by Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home, in Natchitoches, LA, where the family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday, July 10, 2011. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM to Monday, July 11, 2011 at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Morrow officiating. Interment will be at Memory Lawn Cemetery in Natchitoches, LA following the services. Mrs. Sandefur was born in Durant, OK, and grew-up in Natchez and Natchitoches, LA. She was a graduate of Natchitoches High School. Mrs. Sandefur is preceded in death by her parents Robert Cox and Jewel Blackburn Cox; her brother M.L. Cox; her granddaughter Shelley Lynn Sandefur; and, her husband W.L. “Billy” Sandefur. She is survived by her sons, Robert McKenzie Sandefur and his wife Sharon of Young Harris, GA; David Sandefur and his wife Janice of Brandon, MS; and two grandsons Robert Scott Sandefur of Ridgeland, MS, and Andrew Sandefur of Natchez, MS. Those honored to serve as Pallbearers are Guy Snelling, Andrew Sandefur, Woody Cox, Scott Sandefur, Mike Sandefur and Mickey Sandefur. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home.
