Rita Ann Hedges McNeely

Funeral service for Rita Ann Hedges McNeely will be held 10 AM Saturday, June 16, 2007 in Blanchard St. Denis Chapel with Rev. Arthur Haymon officiating. Burial will be in Memory Lawn Cemetery at Natchitoches, La. Visitation will be Friday, June 15, 2007 from 5 PM until 9 PM and on Saturday, June 16, 2007 from 8 AM until service time in the funeral home. Mrs. McNeely, 59, of Natchitoches, La., died Tuesday, June 12, 2007, in her residence at Natchitoches, La. Rita loved life to the fullest and had fun everywhere she went. If you knew her, you knew about the love she had for her family and friends, a great multitude of them were at her beside when she passed away. If you didn't know Rita, you probably never met her. She was a native and lifelong resident of Natchitoches, La. Like her mother, she was a registered nurse. Rita served as a house supervisor at Natchitoches Regional Medical Center and also served as a Health Inspector for Natchitoches Parish Health Unit. She was a proud alumni of Natchitoches High School and Northwestern State University School of Nursing. She was preceded in death by her parents, Forest L. Hedges and Audre' White Hedges. She is survived by her husband, Ludlow N. McNeely, Jr. of Natchitoches, La.; two daughters, Audre' Cobb Sizemore and husband Greg of Old Hickory, Tn. and Julie C. Cobb of Natchitoches, La.; one son, Michael W. Cobb and wife Kambria of Bossier City, La.; two grandchildren, Luke Sizemore and Ella Sizemore. Pallbearers will be Clark Van Sickle, Branton Warford, Ross Wells, Jimmy Scott, Mike Deason, and Jimmy Walker.
