Jimmy Schelette

Funeral service for Mr. Jimmy Schelette will be held at 10 am on Monday, August 01, 2011 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church with Fr. Jacob Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at St. Ann’s Cemetery on Old River Road. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA on July 31, 2011. The rosary will be held at 7:30 pm during the visitation. Mr. Schelette, 59 years of age, passed away Thursday, July 28, 2011. He was born August 01, 1951 to the late Ervin and Patricia Cooper Schelette in Natchitoches, LA. Jimmy was a graduate of Northwestern State University; earning his Bachelors Degree in Agriculture. He was a lifelong cattleman and farmer in Natchitoches Parish. He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Schelette and Darrell Langley of Lake Charles, LA; one son, Justin Schelette of Natchitoches, LA; sister, Gail Culpepper and husband Joe of Natchitoches; niece, Amy Tynes of Natchitoches; aunt, Eunive Trahan of Natchitoches, LA; aunt, Helen Newson of Natchitoches, LA; aunt Oma Solice of Natchitoches, LA; and uncle, Joe Schelette of Shreveport, LA. He was preceded in death by his father, Ervin Schelette and his mother, Patricia Cooper Schelette; paternal grandparents, Willie and Mable Schelette; and maternal grandparents, J.D. Cooper and Amy Cooper. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Gary DeBlieux, Bill Cloutier, Brian Kay, Andrew Balthazar, Johnny Antoon, John Rathburn, Douglas Champion, and Steve Verzwyvelt.
