Robert Charles Brossette, Sr.

Funeral service for Mr. Robert Charles Brossette, Sr. will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, August 02, 2011 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Cloutierville with Fr. John Cunningham officiating. Interment will follow at Cloutierville Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA on Monday, August 01, 2011. The rosary will be held at 7:00 pm during the visitation. Mr. Brossette, 85 years of age, passed away Friday, July 29, 2011. He was born August 27, 1925 to the late Pierre E. and Jospehine Theresa Brossette in Odra, LA. Robert worked a majority of his life on his farm in Odra. After that he was dedicated to law enforcement. He is survived by his two sons, Joseph Rodney Brossette and Robert Charles Brossette, Jr. both of Cloutierville ; one daughter, Teresa Lynn Vercher of Analavac, Texas ; 17 grandchildren: Danielle, Terah, Kara, Rayce, Tiffany, Mandy, Corey, Brandi, Michael, Ross, William, Joseph, Faith, Megan, Dylan, Cameryn, and Caitlyn. ; and 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Pierre E. Brossette and his mother, Theresa Brossette; two sons, Mark Anthony Brossette and Kenneth Wayne Brossette ; two sisters, Nellie LaCaze and Teresa Tucker ; two brothers, Pierre Brossette and Joseph Brossette ; two grandsons, Kenneth "Frog" Brossette and Evan "Buggy" Willis. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Greg Dunn, Bob Dalme, Charles Dalme, Shane LaCaze, Corey Vercher, James Self, Clyde Masson, Charles Roge, and Brad Walker Remember me that I was here and for life I did care. Remember that I did my best. I let God take care of the rest. Remember that I did what I could. I always tried to do good. Remember the good times we had. Please don't worry over the bad. Remember our happy home. Don't just remember I am gone. Remember me and I will live and all the love I tried to give. Remember you are a part of me. As long as you remember me, I will live.
