Funeral service for Ronald Charles Herrera will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 26, 2011 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA with Rev. Craig James officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Lawn Cemetery in Natchitoches, LA. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on August 25, 2011 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA. Ronald Herrera “Ronnie”, 54 years of age, passed away August 21, 2011. Ronald was born December 1, 1956 to the late Roger Edmond Herrera, Sr. and Jo Bullock Warner in Montgomery, LA. Ronnie was a fun loving and compassionate person. He was a wonderful father and grandfather. Ronnie was a great leader, friend, and hard worker. He loved to kid around with his family and friends, a trait that will not be quickly forgotten. Ronnie was employed at ConAgra / Pilgrim's Pride for 33 years. He was a jack of all trades, and would help those in need. He touched the lives of many co-workers, family, and friends, and will be dearly missed by all. He is survived by his fiance', Paulette Fuller of Natchitoches, LA; three daughters, Lydia Doreen Herrera Sheppard of Colfax, LA, Crystal Nicole Herrera Horn and husband Patrick of Winnfield, LA,and Samantha Suzanne Herrera Pinder and husband Jarrod of Montgomery, LA; six grandchildren, Brennan Jones, Sierra "Si Si" Horn, Isabella Jones, Sydney Horn, Sarah Emily Sheppard, and Sean Horn; two brothers, Roger Edmond Herrera, Jr of San Antonio, TX and Clyde Herrera and wife Mandy of Bogue Chitto, MS; and one sister, Theresa Eldridge and husband Gerald of Houston, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roger Edmond Herrera, Sr. and Jo Maxine Bullock Warner Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Tim Powell, William Walker, Joseph Hardy, Caldert Hobey, Robert Foster, and Terry Griffin. Honorary Pallbearers will be Larry Payne and Byron Handy.
