Funeral Services for Alfred Savage, Jr. will be Friday, the 26th of August 2011 at 2 PM at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home Chapel in Natchitoches with the Reverend John Foster serving as celebrant. Friends are invited to a visitation with the family on Thursday, the 25th of August 2011 from 5 PM until 8 PM at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. A committal service will follow the funeral service in the Oak Grove Methodist Cemetery. Mr. Savage, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away on Tuesday, the 23rd of August 2011 at his home in the Oak Grove Community. He is predeceased by his parents Alfred Savage Sr. and Sinah Beatrice Tarver Savage. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 24 years, Sharon Savage of Natchitoches; his sons, Alfred Savage III and wife Darlene of Jefferson City, Michael Savage of Tallulah, Stephen Bennett and wife Lou Lou of Natchitoches and Wesley Savage of Natchitoches; his sisters, Marion King of Delhi, Gloria Mayeux of Tallulah, Thelma Welch of Tallulah and Patsy Pierce of Tallulah; his brother, David Savage of Natchitoches; seven grandchildren; friend, Dickie Simms and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Alfred Savage III, Stephen Bennett, David Savage, Robert Bennett, Blake Bennett, Brett Bennett, Alfred Cole Savage and Tom King.
