Funeral service for Bertrand Christophe will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Natchez, LA with Fr. Jacob Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at St. Augustine Catholic Cemetery in Natchez, LA. The family will receive friends from 9:00 am until 10:30 am on September 13, 2011 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA. Bertrand Christophe, 53 years of age, passed away September 8, 2011. He was born September 7, 1958 to the late Herman Christophe, Sr. and Orena Beaudoin Christophe in Pineville, LA. Bertrand was a hard worker and a great carpenter. He was a very friendly man, and would help anyone in need. He was a great friend, and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He was survived by three sons, Bertrand John Christophe, Jr., Brandon Christophe, and Benjamin Christophe; three grandchildren; his mother, Orena Gnevieve Christophe; five brothers, Herman Christophe, Jr., Kenneth Wayne Christophe, Sr., Danny Ray Christophe, Sam Joseph Christophe, Sr., and Michael Perry Christophe, Sr.; one sister, Martha Christophe Jones; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Herman Christophe, Sr. Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Joseph Jones, Eric Christophe, Deon Christophe, Kenneth Christophe, Jr., Samuel Christophe, II, Jonathan Christophe, Michael Christophe, II, and Travis Jones. Michael Christophe will serve as a honorary pallbearer.
