The family of Leona J. Moleski would like to invite friends to memorial visitation on Wednesday, the 14th of September 2011 from 5 P.M. until 7 P.M. at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches. Recitation of the holy rosary will begin at 6 pm with Father James Foster serving as celebrant. She will be buried in Andersonville Military Cemetery in Georgia following a visitation service at Oglethorpe Funeral Home in Atlanta, Georgia.
Mrs. Moleski, age 91, passed away peacefully on the 12th of September 2011 at the Natchitoches Regional Medical Center. She was born on the 2nd of November 1919 to Walter (Ladislaw) Joseph Balasa and Julia Szymkowski Balasa in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was married to George I. Moleski on the 15th of August, 1942 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
She is predeceased by her husband, George Moleski; her parents, Walter and Julia Balasa; her brother Walter Balasa; her daughter, Leona Hansard.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Carol O’Brien and husband Robert of Olympia, Washington; her daughter Nancy Haus and husband Don of Leavenworth, Kansas; her son Kevin Moleski and wife Claudia of Dallas, TX; her daughter Karen Kilpatrick of Natchitoches; her grandchildren, Raeanna Duck, Matthew O’Brien, Stephanie Cervantes and husband Cesar, Ryan Kilpatrick, Jared Kilpatrick and wife Kemper; her great grandchild Mikayla Duck; and extended family and friends.
