A service to remember the life of Aubrey Ray Ford will be held at 10 A.M. on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches with the Reverend Barney Ray Cabra officiating. Interment will follow at Rocky Mount Cemetery in Robeline. The family will receive friends from 5 P.M. until 9 P.M. on Friday, October 14, 2011 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches.
Aubrey Ford, 73 years of age, passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2011 at the LSU Medical Center in Shreveport, as a result of a tragic motor vehicle accident. Aubrey was born October 10, 1938 to Oscar Neeman Ford and Lona Horton Ford in Many.
He is predeceased by his father, Oscar Neeman Ford, his Daughter, Tammy Sue Ford and brother, Nathan Ford.
Those left to cherish his memory are: his wife of 49 years, Betty Sue Ford; his daughters, Cindy Mechelle Edwards and husband Boogie of Natchitoches, Tisha Karen Rachal and Patrick of Flora; his grandchildren, Rebecca Kaitlyn Rachal, Madelyn Colleen Rachal, Lillian Hope Rachal and Patrick Nathan Rachal; his mother, Lona Bivens Horton Ford of Shreveport; his sisters, Dora Burley of Shreveport, Helen Dubois and husband Ray of Many, Shirley Greer and husband Maurbry of Many and Nona Hood and husband Randy of Benton.
He took pride in his professional gift of the installation and the beauty of his customer’s floors. His family was extremely proud of him and his pride that he took in his work and his relationships he has built with his clients over the past 45 years. He always said he would never retire. He was a very loving husband and provider. He loved his two daughters beyond words. He was always looking for an opportunity to brag on them. His three granddaughters and one grandson was his heartbeat. He was very proud of his two son-in-laws. He mentored one in taking over the business if he wished. He loved God with all of his heart and lived his life as a living testimony. He was everybody’s friend and his generosity could not be measured. He will be terribly missed, gone but never forgotten. His memory lives on in our hearts.
