Funeral services for Mrs. Lottie Ethel Williamson from Campti, LA will be held at 2 pm on Monday, October 17, 2011 in the Chapel of Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA with Rev. Wayne Squyres and Rev. Mike Honzell officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home on Sunday, October 16, 2011. Interment will follow the services at Zion Cemetery in Fairview Alpha, LA. Mrs. Lottie, 92 years of age of Campti, LA, passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2011 in Natchitoches, LA. She was born to Edward and Viola Morrison in Cora, LA on February 18, 1919. She married Carroll Williamson, her husband of 58 years, and they lived in Leander, LA where all six of her children were born before moving to Campti, LA in 1955. Lottie accepted Christ at an early age and was a charter member of the United Baptist Church near Campti, LA. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and was loved by any and all who knew her. Her family describes her as having “True Love” for all of them. Her favorite thing later in life after becoming a widow was traveling to see her family to visit and drink coffee with them. She was preceded in death by her husband Carroll Williamson; one son, Billy Williamson; one grandson, Norman Vercher; one infant great grandson, Jonathan Griffith; her parents, Edward and Viola Morrison; and nine siblings. She is survived by one son, Carlton Williamson and wife Judy of Springhill, LA; four daughters, Ethel Mae Vercher and husband Wylie of Campti, LA, Louise Valentine and husband Mitchell of Winnsboro, LA; Lillian LeBrun and husband Wade of Campti, LA; and Georgia Prudhomme of Natchitoches, LA; one daughter-in-law, Elain Williamson of Mansfield, LA; fifteen grandchildren, Gary Williamson, Jeff Williamson, Gayla Griffith, Sam Vercher, Becky Hancock, David Williamson, John Williamson, Alicia McPherson, Michelle Valentine, Meleah Ashley, Kim Metoyer, Kerry LeBrun, James Prudhomme, Jaime LaFitte and Jerry Williamson; twenty-nine great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Mrs. Lottie’s grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be Hershell Williamson, Jerry Hurley, Jim Squyres, John Willie Squyres, Rusty Smith, and John Meylain. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of the Courtyard of Natchitoches and a special heartfelt thanks to her Calvary Baptist Church family in the Courtyard, for all of their love and prayers. They would also like to thank Dr. Otis Barnum, M.D., Meg Fitzhugh, P.A., Susan Massia, Hospice of Natchitoches’ staff, Bro Buster Jordan, Chaplain Cyle Clayton, and the faithful men prayer warriors of Emmanuel Baptist Church.
