Don Rachal

A service to honor the life of Don Rachal will be 10 am Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at The First Baptist Church of Provencal with Reverend Bruce Mitchell and Reverend Kevin Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Weaver Cemetery in Flora, LA. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 9 pm on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at The First Baptist Church of Provencal. Mr. Rachal, 69 years of age, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2011. He was born August 25, 1942 in Flora, LA to the late Lester Rachal and the late Ella Joyce (Russell) Rachal. Mr. Rachal was the market manager at Save-A-Lot grocery. By trade he was an excellent butcher including providing services for local hunters in venison processing each year. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Connie Rhodes Rachal of Flora; daughters, Donna Wink and her husband Shane of West Monroe, Kimberlee Vancena and her husband Lance of West Monroe and Kaylee Conlay and her husband Creston of Flora; his grandchildren, Megan Auttonberry and her husband, Cody, Kristen Wink, Jaycee Wink, Maddie Vancena, Lydia Vancena, Gracie Conlay and Dylan Conlay; his great grandchildren, Lillian Auttonberry and Keegan Barrelle; a brother, Clifton Leo Rachal; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many close friends. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include: Patrick Rachal, Russell Rachal, Craig Rachal, Stephen Rachal, Sr., Stephen Rachal, Jr., and Carroll Poche.
