Louise Metoyer Chevalier

Louise Metoyer Chevalier was born on November 20, 1919 in a community known as Bermuda, Louisiana. Louise was the youngest daughter (9th child) of Louis “T-Louie” and Marie Ella Severin Metoyer. She passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at the Natchitoches Nursing and Rehab Center, where she resided, just a couple of weeks before her 92nd birthday. She married David Trechel Chevalier in 1940. They were blessed with six children, David Jr., Donald, Michael, Paul, Linda and Brenda. Louise was preceded in death by her husband, David, her parents, Louis and Ella, six brothers, Morrell, Theophille, Eldridge, Emmitt, Phanor & James, three sisters, Rosa Mae, Ella & Mozell, one grandson, Michael D. Chevalier Jr. She leaves to cherish her memories four sons, David (Shirley), Donald (Kathy), Michael (Millie), Paul (Nathalia), two daughters, Linda Lawrence, Brenda Albeno (Jorge), ten grandchildren, Lisa Chevalier, Marcel Chevalier, Maurice Chevalier, Cheryl Goins, David A. Chevalier, Derek A. Chevalier, Schorre’ Chevalier Oldham , Anthony Chevalier, Cristina Albeno, Patrick Lawrence, fourteen great grandchildren, Anecia Weatherspoon, MyShae Chevalier-Goins, Bryna Davidson, Juliet Harper, Alyssa Chevalier, Ariana Chevalier, Theodore Oldham, Raymond Oldham, Alexander Oldham, Nina Bordenave, Allison Chevalier, David T. Chevalier, Julia Chevalier, Isaiah Chevalier, two great-great grandchildren, Terrell Weatherspoon, Tyler Weatherspoon and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The funeral services for Louise will be in California. She will be buried next to her husband in the American National Cemetery in Riverside, California. There will be a Memorial Mass at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Natchitoches when local family members return from California. The family would like to thank the staff at the Natchitoches Nursing & Rehabilitation Center for attending to Mother’s needs.
