Funeral services for Wesley F. Tucker will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov 13 at First United Methodist Church-Crossroads building. Burial will be in Memory Lawn Cemetery in Natchitoches.
The family will receive friends from 5-9 p.m. Saturday at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home and from 1 p.m. until service time Sunday at Frist United Methodist Church.
Mr. Tucker, 56, of Natchitoches, died Thursday, Nov 10, 2011 at LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport. He was a native of Shreveport. Wesley was born on July 8, 1955 to the late Gerald B. Tucker and Dolores Hall Tucker. He was retired from United Parcel Service and was currently employed at J&J Exterminating. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Ellen Lee Tucker; and three daughters Lesley V. Tucker of Natchitoches, Miranda Moton of Bossier City and Alicia Gehrls and husband Brian of Bossier City; three grandchildren, Ryan and Ali Moton and Camille Gehrls, all of Bossier City; mother Dolores Hall Tucker of Parker, Texas; brother Stephen A. Tucker and wife Rosita, nephew Nathan Tucker of Parker and aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his father Gerald B. Tucker and grandmother Alice Hall.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Marty Friesenhahn, Dennis Bryant, Micky Hoffpauir, Lanny Minton, Kenneth Dowden and Ricky McConnell.
Honorary pallbearers are Butch Lee, Tommy Vercher, Greg Hall, Bill Lewis, Bradley Bearden, Benji Phelps and all the employees of United Parcel Services of Natchitoches.
Wesley never met a stranger, was a man of many talents and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He will be truly missed by family and friends.
In lieu of floral contributions donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church, The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or a charity of your choice.
