Joseph Llorance, Sr.

Funeral service for Joseph Llorance, Sr. will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, November 21, 2011 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Isle Breville, LA with Fr. Jacob Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at St. Augustine Cemetery in Isle Breville, LA. The family will receive friends from 9:00 am until 10:00 am on November 21, 2011 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA. Joseph Llorance, Sr., 94 years of age, passed away November 17, 2011. He was born December 24, 1916 to the late Emmanuel Llorance and Agnes LaCour Llorance in Melrose, LA. Mr. Joseph was a kind and loving husband, father, and grandfather. He thoroughly enjoyed fishing on the Cane River, and spent many hours doing so. He enjoyed working as a baker and made wonderful tea cakes during the holidays. He was a devout catholic and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a wonderful person to be around, and will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Dorina Rachal Llorance of Natchez, LA; two sons, Joseph Llorance, Jr of Natchez, LA and Eric John Llorance of Houston, TX; nine grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmanuel Llorance and Agnes LaCour Llorance; one son, Benjamin Llorance; two grandchildren; two sisters; and one brother.
