Zelia Mae Dubois

Funeral service for Zelia Mae Dubois will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Campti, LA with Father Ryan Humphries officiating. Interment will follow at Campti Catholic Cemetery in Campti, LA. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on November 28, 2011 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA. Zelia Dubois, 84 years of age, passed away November 26, 2011. She was born July 4, 1927 to the late Joseph Sidney Laurent and Bertie Garner Laurent in Campti, LA. Zelia was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a very hardworker and good provider for her family. She was faithful to Nativity Catholic Church in Campti, where she attended most of her life. She helped anyone who was in need, never asking for anything in return, and was a grandmother to everyone. She enjoyed playing bingo, dominoes, and cards; and loved spending time with her family. She was a great person, and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by one son, James Ronnie Laurent of Campti; three daughters, Barbara Ann Federick of Natchitoches, Linda Jean Jackson of Campti, and Carolyn Sue Adams of Campti, LA; fourteen grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Dickson; one son, Wayne Dickson; her parents, Joseph Sidney Laurent and Bertie Garner Laurent; two brother, James Laurent and Alex Laurent; and one sister, Audrey Smith. Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Duane Hostetler, Jarred Dickson, David Sessions, Tim Frederick, J.W. Adams, and Harper Adams. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Friday, Charles Frederick, J.M. Adams, and Josh Friday.
