A service to honor the life of Mr. Jimme Turnbo will be 2 pm Saturday, December 10, 2011 at Noble Baptist Church with Brother Jimmy Price officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 pm until 10 pm on Friday, December 09, 2011 at Noble Baptist Church. Concluding services will be held at Walnut Hill Cemetery, Slagle, LA under the direction of Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home.
Mr. Turnbo passed away Thursday, December 8, 2011. He was born October 23, 1923 in England, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy, his parents, Henry and Dixie Turnbo; two brothers and two sisters. He proudly served his country in World War II and Korea with the United States Army. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Those left to cherish his memory include his children, James Turnbo and his wife Elaine of Pollock, Brenda Procell and her husband Gilbert of Converse, Marilyn Hatten and her husband Bennie of Georgetown, Jana Procell and her husband James “Cody” of Noble and Jeffery Turnbo and his wife Mendy of Tioga. He was blessed with 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
