Jimmy Cox was born September 4,1930 and died December 15,2011 at his home in Natchitoches,La., surrounded by his loving wife and children.
He is survived by his wife,Jo Ann Cox,daughter,Kelly C. Chalaire of Natchitoches,La.,and a son ,James R. Cox,III of Covington, La. and two granddaughters,Katelyn C. Chalaire,and Amanda M. Chalaire of Gainesville,Florida. He was preceded in death by his mother,Kelly Wallace,father,James R. Coxand stepfather Jack C. Wallace.
Jimmy,was born in Natchitoches,La. and attended Warren Eastern Elementary School and Natchitoces High School. He graduated from LSU with a degree in Petroleum Engineering. After serving as an aviator in the Air Force during the Korean Campaign,he worked with Chevron Oil Company. He later was employed with Graham Oil Company as Vice-President of Explorations. After retirement,Jimmy and Jo Ann moved back to his home town of Natchitoches. Jimmy had a passion for people and will be remembered as a loving and caring husband,father and friend.
The internment will be a family service arranged at a future date.
