James P. Yates

Graveside memorial service for James P Yates will be held 1 PM Friday, August 10, 2007 in Mt. Zion Cemetery at Montgomery, La. with Rev. Ray Teal officiating. Mr. Yates, 78, was born November 8, 1928 in Aloah, La. to Finis and Nellis Marcum Yates. He was a retired from the U. S. Air Force at Vandenberg in l973 with over 22 years of service. He later worked for Martin Marietta Corp. and retired from there in l994. He was a member of American Legion Post 125 and Moose Lodge 1036. He died Monday, July 30, 2007 in Lampoc Hospita at Lampoc, Ca. He is survived by two daughters, Jane Ogden and Mary Ann Yates; two sons, Ray Yates and Alvin Yates; one step-daughter, Gwendolyn Hinds; one step-son, Terry Dubois; two sisters, Virginia Rogers and Frances Garcie; one brother, Bobby Yates; numerous grandchildren and nieces and nephews; his loving companion and caregiver for 15 years, Sandra DeMars.
