Arthur Sepulvado

A service to honor the life of Arthur Sepulvado will be 7 pm Friday, January 20, 2012 in the chapel of Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until service time on Friday. Arthur Sepulvado was born September 9, 1937 to Hilton Sepulvado and Lois Campbell Sepulvado in Provencal, LA. His childhood years were spent in Provencal where he attended and graduated from Provencal High in 1956. He was very active in sports and loved to play basketball. Arthur received several awards for playing basketball through his high school years. He was awarded a scholarship to play at NSU but decided to join the Marines to fight for his country. After many travels while in the Marines, Arthur came home to Provencal and met a beautiful, Yvonne Allen, who was visiting her grandmother for the summer. Yvonne, who was from Lake Charles, eventually fell for the charm of Arthur and the two were married on April 10, 1962. They had three children together and made their home in Natchitoches. Arthur and Yvonne were married until her death in 1984. Arthur departed this life on January 18. 2012 in Natchitoches, Louisiana. He is preceded in death by his wife, Yvonne Sepulvado; father, Hilton Sepulvado; mother Lois Campbell Sepulvado; two brothers, Herbert Sepulvado and Teddy Sepulvado and one sister, Nita Ford. Arthur leaves to cherish his memory one daughter, Renee Sepulvado of Natchitoches, LA; two sons, Gregory Sepulvado of San Francisco, CA and Brian Sepulvado and wife Jennifer of Cutoff, LA; three granddaughters, Sarah Funderburk, Mary Funderburk, and Bailey Sepulvado; two sisters, Ruth Ann Kay of Provencal, LA and Judy Fair and husband Bobby of Natchitoches, LA; sister-in-law, Andie Sepulvado, along with a host nieces,nephews,and friends. The family would like to extend many thanks to the Courtyard of Natchitoches and special thanks to Pam North and Pam Clements of Hope Hospice of Natchitoches. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations made to Breast Cancer Research.
