A service to honor the life of Jimmy Ray Marr will be 3 pm Monday, January 23, 2012 at Hickory Grove Congregational Methodist Church, Robeline, LA.
Mr. Marr, 58 years of age, passed away Thursday, January 19, 2012. He was born July 9, 1953 to the late James and Vera Marr in Shreveport, LA. He was a mechanic and a truck driver for 40 years. He was a wonderful husband and father, who fought to make a better life for the people he loved. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 39 years, Colleen Marr of Natchitoches; sons, Henry Marr and his wife Karen of Natchitoches, James Marr of Natchitoches and Homer Marr of Natchitoches. He was blessed with two granddaughters, Brooke Marr and Madeline Marr both of Florien. He also leaves behind his brothers, David Marr and his wife Barbara of Robeline, Terry Marr and his wife Candy of Robeline and Wayne Marr and his wife Troyetta of Sulphur; and a sister, Betty Dykes and her husband Glenn of Coldwater.
