Services for Janie Virginia Sanders will be held at 2 PM on Monday, January
23, 2012 at Blanchard St. Denis in Natchitoches, Louisiana with the Reverend Billy Shugart officiating. Burial will be in Central Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from noon until the time of
service.
Mrs. Sanders, 71, of Natchitoches, passed away Friday, January 20, 2012.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, Donald Carl Sanders;
parents Finetta Mullens Williams and Lonnie Williams; brothers Elmer
Williams and Delmer Williams and sister Jewel Smith.
Those left to cherish her memory include her two sons, Dennis Sanders and
wife, Dawayna, of Pineville, and Richard Sanders of Natchitoches; two
sisters, Betty Dubois of Montgomery and Doris Bashrum of Pineville; five
grandchildren Keith Sanders and wife Courtney, Ashley Sanders, Nicholas
Sanders, and Rachael Sanders all of Pineville and DeeAnndra Sanders of
Natchitoches; one great granddaughter, Isabella Sanders of Pineville; and a
host of other family members and friends.
A native of Colfax, Louisiana, Virginia was born on August 17, 1940. She
graduated from Colfax High School, where she was an honor student. After
graduation, she worked as a waitress until she met her husband. She married
in 1958, and the young family relocated to Natchitoches, where she lived for
the rest of her life. Virginia chose to devote her time to her family,
embracing the roles of wife and mother. After her children married, she
spent time with her grandchildren and their cousins. She was a loving person
who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and they will cherish
her memory.

Hilton Smith, and Paul Dubois.
