A mass for John "Chris" LaCour will be celebrated on Friday August 24,2007 at 10:30 a.m. in St Augustine Catholic church in Melrose with Fr. Jacob Thomas officiating.
John "Chris" LaCour died August 17, 2007 at Natchitoches Longterm Care.was born October 29, 1939 to the late Manuel and Annie LaCour. He was a native of Isle Brevelle, Louisiana, he was educated at St James Catholic School in Alexandria La. and attended the University of New Mexico.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Manuel and Annie LaCour; his stepmother Rachel; his parents Louis and Esther Sibley; and his brothers Arnold LaCour,and Charles Aaron.
He leaves to cherish his memory with love….his wife Audrey, his sons, John Chris Jr. and Charles (Christa) LaCour, four granchildren, Chantelle Gallaway,John Chris 3rd , Audrey and Lilly LaCour.
Eight brothers, Manuel (Bubba) (Ora Mae),LaCour Jr. Pete (Barbara), Joseph , James (Diane) LaCour, of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Rev. J.D (Pearl) Aaron, Rev. Donald (Ida) Sibley of Alexandria, La, Rev.Louis ( Barbara) Sibley 3rd, of Milwaukee,Wis.
Four Sisters: Suzanne (John) Padilla, Judy LaCour, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Pearl Huckaby of Shreveport, Patricia and Robert Cleveland. of Alexandria La., sister in laws, and brothers in laws, Jean LaCour of San Antonia Texas, Fredericka Jacobs of Mississippi, Jodie Ann Nesbit, Rudolph (Ann) Fox, John Fox, of Bermuda, Colin (Rosiland) Smith of Atlanta,Ga, and Lou Ethel Aaron of Alexandria, LA. His aunt Dorothy (Hiram) Ingram of Bermuda. Numerous Nieces, Nephews and cousins and a host of extended family and cherished friends.
Visitation August 24, 2007 at St. Augustine Hall from 8:30a.m. to 10:15a.m. mass at 10:30a.m.
Internment at St. Augustine Catholic Church Cemetery.
