George Turner Williams

A service to celebrate the life of George Williams will be held at 10 am on Thursday, February 9, 2012 at New Life Evangelism Center in Natchitoches, LA with Rev. Dennis Bjornberg and Rev. Thomas Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Lawn Cemetery in Natchitoches, LA. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 9 pm on Wednesday, February 8th at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches , LA and again on the 9th at 9 am until service time at the church. George Williams, 62 years of age, passed away February 6, 2012 in Natchitoches, LA. George was born September 7, 1949 to the late Riley Williams and the late Mary Ethel Williams. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Faye Snead Williams; brothers, Junior Williams, Lawrence Huffman and Wilmer Ray Huffman. Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter Melody Davis and her husband Marc of Saline, LA; his sister-in-law, Dorothy Williams. He was blessed with two grandsons, Kade and Cullen Davis; three nephews, Jeffery, Jody and Chad Williams; and a great nephew, Landon Williams. George drove a milk truck for many years. Everyone who encountered George was warmed by his great smile. He was a godly man who enjoyed being active part of his church. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and took great pride in providing for his family, especially making sure Cullen always had his chicken. He will be dearly missed but fondly remembered by his family and friends.
