Carolyn Powell Bell

Funeral service for Carolyn Powell Bell will be held 2 PM Thursday, August 23, 2007 in Robeline First Baptist Church with Revs. Jack Bell, Steven Bell, Meredith Bell, and Paul Rasmussen officiating. Burial will be in Robeline Cemetery at Robeline, La. under the direction of Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 22, 2007 from 6 PM until 9 PM and on Thursday, August 23, 2007 from 8 AM until 12 Noon in the funeral home and 1 PM until service time in the church. Mrs. Bell, 84, of Robeline, La., died Monday, August 20, 2007, at Green Meadow Haven in Coushatta, La. She was a native of Pleasant Hill, La. She was a retired second grade teacher at Robeline Elementary School. She was a member of Robeline First Baptist Church and Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority She was preceded in death by her husband , Jack Bell; parents, Emmett Asa Powell, Sr. and Lillian Gregory Powell; brother, Emmett A. Powell, Jr. She is survived by two sons, Roy Patrick Bell, M.D. and wife Sandy of San Antonio, Tx. and Don Gregory Bell, M.D. and wife Kathy of Coushatta, La.; grandchildren, Seth Bell and wife Luci of San Antonio, Tx., Rev. Jack Bell and wife Julie of Ringgold, La., Rev. Steven Bell and wife Rev. Meredith Bell of Hurst, Tx., Ashley Rasmussen and husband Rev. Paul Rasmussen of Dallas, Tx.., and Terry Knotts of Boston Ma., and nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Lillian Hughes of Leesville, La. Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews.
