Funeral service for Lucille Armond Poissot will be held at 1 P.M. on Saturday, the 11th of February, 2012 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches with Father Irion St. Romain serving as celebrant. Interment will follow at Memory Lawn Cemetery in Natchitoches, LA. The family will receive friends from from 10 A.M. until service time at 1 P.M. Recitation of the holy rosary will begin at 12:30 P.M. on Saturday, the 11th of February 2012 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches. Lucille Poissot, 79 years of age, passed away on Wednesday, the 8th February 2012 at Green Meadow Haven Nursing Facility in Coushatta. Lucille was born June 15, 1932 to the late Edward Armond and Elisie LaCaze Armond in Flora, LA. She loved tending to her flowers and growing vegetables in her garden and broadening her mind by reading. She was office manager for Farm Bureau Insurance Company for many years and worked in the claims department for Natchitoches Parish Hospital. She was a parishioner for the Minor Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Natchitoches. She loved her grandchildren dearly and will be missed by all she loved. Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Evariste Poissot III and wife Linda of Eagle, Idaho, Sharon LaCaze and husband Van of Natchitoches, Mary Cedars and husband Kerry of Natchitoches, Annette Powell and husband Eddie of Collierville, Tennessee; her sister, Beatrice Penberthy of Woodland, California; her grandchildren, Jennifer Taylor, Katie Nail, Nicole Bailey, Michelle Gandy, Mathew Cedars, Lori Cedars, Kendall Powell, Devon Powell, Marcus Kim, Elius Kim and Lauren Kim; her great grandchildren, Gabriel Bailey and Daniel Bailey; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
