James Vernon Vallery

A Mass of Christian Burial for James Vernon Vallery will be 10 am Monday, February 27, 2012 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Natchitoches, LA with Father Jason Gootee officiating. Interment will follow at Weaver Cemetery, Flora, LA. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 9 pm on Sunday, February 26, 2012 at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home. A recitation of the Rosary will be given at 7 pm on Sunday during the visitation. Mr. James Vernon Vallery, 59 years of age, passed away Friday, February 24, 2012 at Tulane Medical Center in New Orleans. He was born July 4, 1952 to the late James W. “Dub” Vallery and the late Doris Marie (Brossett) Stacy in Natchitoches, LA. Originally a native of Cloutierville, LA, he was presently residing in Mandeville, LA. He was a Respiratory Therapist at St. Tammany Parish Hospital. Vernon will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Dacia Joleen Vascocu and her husband Brad of Flora, LA; brother, Dennis Vallery and his wife Claudia of Cloutierville, LA; granddaughter, Macy Paige Vascocu; nephews, Barret Vallery and Jameson Seth Vallery; as well as numerous friends. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include: Barret Vallery, Jameson Seth Vallery, Rodney Baker, Ronald Tyson, Kenny Brossett, and Robert McClaren. Honorary pallbearers will be Brad Vascocu and John Lomzenski.
