Marguerite Ann O'Bannon

Funeral service for Marguerite O'Bannon will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, the 1st of March 2012 at First Baptist Church of Provencal with the Reverends Jeff Hughes and John Astling officiating. Interment will follow at Bellwood Cemetery in Bellwood. The family will receive friends from 5p.m. until 9p.m. Wednesday, the 29th of February 2012 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA. “Margie”, 69 years of age, passed away Monday, the 27th of February 2012 in Natchitoches Community Care Center. Marguerite was born August 21, 1942 to the late Minor Gibson O'Bannon and Vesta Murray O'Bannon in Natchitoches. She was a lifelong resident of Bellwood until the time of her illness. She was a member of the Bellwood Baptist Church and later First Baptist Church in Provencal, where she played the piano for both. She loved gospel music and attending singings around the area. She retired from the State of Louisiana to care for her parents until their passing. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Lori Savell and husband Kelby of Bellwood; her aunts, Ella Rhodes and Mae Belle O'Bannon both of Provencal; her uncle, Willie O'Bannon of Keithville; and many close family members and friends. The family would like to extend their thanks to Dr. Kathleen Kautz and staff at Natchitoches Community Care Center for their care in these last years.
