Funeral service for Ramon Joseph Triche will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, March 2, 2012 at Minor Baslica of the Immaculate Conception in Natchitoches, LA with Fr. Irion St. Romain officiating. Interment will follow at American Cemetery in Natchitoches, LA. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on March 1, 2012 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA with a rosary held at 7:00 pm.
Ramon Triche, 63 years of age, passed away February 29, 2012. Ramon was born February 8, 1949 to the late Ernest Joseph Triche, Jr. and Muriel Oriol Triche in Caripeto, Venezuela. Ramon was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He fought a valiant battle with PSP, Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. He moved to New Orleans, LA in 1958 and later moved to Natchitoches in 1968 to attend Northwestern State University where he was a 1972 and 1976 alumnus. Ramon coached Dixie Youth Baseball and Softball during his children's years of play. He also bowled with the Men's Merchant League for many years. He was a charter member and King X of the Krewe of Dionysos and was a parishioner of the Minor Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Natchitoches. Ramon retired from Pilgrims Pride after 28 years of service where he was Waste Water Manager. He was truly a great man and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Claudia Moore Triche of Natchitoches, LA; three children, Eric Triche and wife Karyn of Shreveport, LA, Adam Triche and wife Ashley of Little Rock, AR, and Kathryn Triche Loveless and husband Dustin of Baton Rouge, LA; two sisters, Raquel Marie Triche Randazzo of Kenner, LA and Mary Catherine Triche Carbo of Reserve, LA; four brothers, Ernest Joseph Triche III of Miami, FL, Edward Joseph Triche and wife Judy of Kenner, LA, Philip Joseph Triche and wife Joann of Kenner, LA and Paul Joseph Triche of North Carolina; four grandchildren, Lauren Triche, Ryan Triche, Patrick Loveless, and Kate Triche; sister-in-law, Becky Moore Keenan; special family members, Jenny Perkins and Children Kathryn, Ashley, and Brandon Harris and Hailey LeBon, and Julie Perkins Sers and husband Glen, and son Brady Glen Sers; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Joseph Triche, Jr. and Muriel Mae Oriol Triche; and infant twins, Jonathon Andrew Triche and Martha Anne Triche; and his parent-in-laws, Melvin Byers Moore and Harriet Edith Thorp Moore.
