Dora (Tony) Zachary Reeder

A service to remember the life of Mrs. Dora “Tony” (Zachary) Reeder will be 11:00 am Tuesday, March 6, 2012 in the chapel of Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home with Pastor Dale Schurter officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9 am until 11 am on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at the funeral home. Mrs. Reeder passed away March 2, 2012. She was born January 31, 1931 to the late Nestor Zachary and the late Faye Zachary in Provencal, LA. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Reeder; sons, H. Neil Reeder and Robert W. Reeder; and her daughter, Frances E. Reeder. She is survived by her son, Jerry Reeder and his wife Dovie of Shelby, AL; sister, Mona Schurter and her husband Dale of Long Island, NY. She was blessed with 11 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren. A special thanks to Hospice of Natchitoches and the staff of The Courtyard of Natchitoches for the loving care they provided Tony. In lieu of floral tributes, the family requests donations are made to Hospice of Natchitoches in Mrs. Reeder’s name.
