Funeral service for Shelley Kaye Simmons will be held 4 PM Saturday, September 1, 2007 in Blanchard St. Denis Chapel with Rev. William Johno and Rev. James Whitehead officiating. Burial will be in Marthaville Cemetery at Marthaville, La. Visitation will be Saturday, September 1, 2007 from 12 Noon until service time in the funeral home. Miss Simmons 17, of Natchitoches, La., died Friday, August 31, 2007 near Robeline, La. . She was a native and lifelong resident of Natchitoches, La. She was a former waitress at Chuckwagon and Nickey's. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Eugene Fredrick Simmons; maternal grandfather, James Alvin Hinds, Sr. She is survived by her parents, Kenneth Simmons and Laura Hinds Simmons of Natchitoches, La.; three brothers, Terry Hinds of New Orleans, La., Kenneth "Jay" Simmons and wife Vicki and Michael Simmons both of Natchitoches, La.; grandmother, Catherine Taylor and husband Garvis of Campti, La.; nieces, Jaelynn and Delaney Simmons; nephew, Colby; godparents, Nicole Christophe, Connie Easley, and Michael Hess; aunts, Ella, Eugena, Judy, Brenda, Debra, and Molly; uncles, Ernie, Eugene, Man, and Cecil; adopted aunts, Crystal Corley, Mary Cadwallader, and Michelle Vernon; numerous cousins, many friends. Pallbearers will be Bubba Pate, Michael Simmons, Kenneth 'Jay' Simmons, Terry Hinds, Jeremy Davis, and Cole Bynog Honorary pallbearers will be Joshua Deloach and Brent Edwards.
