Funeral Services for Eugene M. Johnson will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, the 8th of March 2012, at the United Baptist Church in Campti. Interment will follow in L.C. Weaver in Campti. Friends are invited to a visitation with the family from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, the 7th of March 2012, at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches. Mr. Johnson, age 84 of Campti, passed away Tuesday, the 6th of March 2012, in Shreveport. He was born on the 16th of August 1927 to his parents, the late Hardy and Julia Johnson. He was owner/operator of his own logging company. He is preceded in death by his parents, Hardy and Julia Johnson; and his sisters, Ila Mae Stroud and Marie Davidson; his brothers, Huey A. Johnson, Willie A. Johnson and Tiny Lacour He is survived by his wife Florence Johnson of Campti; his daughter, Linda G. Carter and husband Bill of Montgomery; his step-daughter, Shari Rogers and husband Joe of Campti; his sister, Inez LaCour of Natchitoches; his grandchildren, Anita Chellette, Wanda Myers, Stephen Supalo, Willie Supalo and Juron Supalo; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Stephen Supalo, Willie Supalo, Juron Supalo, Jonathan Myers, Blake Guillory and Jerry Wayne LaCour. Honorary pallbearers will be Donald Stroud, Earl Morgan and Billy Smith.
