A Mass of Christian Burial for Theresa LaCaze Fuller will be 1 pm Saturday March 17, 2012 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Melrose, LA with Father Jacob Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Fern Park Cemetery under the direction of Blanchard St. Denis. The family will receive friends from 5pm until 10 pm on Friday, March 16, 2012 at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home. A recitation of the Rosary by the Catholic Mothers will be 7 pm Friday, March 16, 2012 in the funeral home chapel.
Mrs. Fuller, 83 years of age, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2012. She was born May 16, 1928 to the late Sidney LaCaze and the late Frances (Thomasee) LaCaze in Montrose, LA. She was also preceded by her husband, Marvin Fuller; daughter, Marvelyn Fuller and a grandson, George Thurmond.
Theresa was very active at St. Augustine Catholic Church. From being a member of the choir, organist and volunteering for many outreach programs, she dedicated her life to helping others. She was a member of Christian Mothers as well as an honorary member of the Divine Providence. Her family was very important and she enjoyed gatherings with family and friends. She will be dearly missed.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Catherine Beaudion of Montrose, Marvin Fuller and his wife Sheila of Ball, Sidney Fuller and his wife Catalina of Baton Rouge, Frances Fuller Barnhart of Montrose and Rita Fuller Cardozier and her husband Jimmy of Houma; grandchildren, Robert Landry, Jackie Couie, Dennis Fuller, Mollie Thurmond, Brian Fuller, Sarah Fuller, Chad Fuller, Adam Fuller, Christy Fuller, Thomas Watkins, Theresa “Tera” Brossette, and Kara B. Melancon; 37 great grandchildren; 7 great- great grandchildren; sister, Florentine Rachal of Natchitoches; brother, Malcolm LaCaze of London England; sister in law, Anna Lee Fuller; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers include: Ledgress Bryan, Chad Fuller, Thomas Watkins, Adam Fuller, Patricia Thurman and Courtney Welling. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Landry, Chris Welling, Brian Fuller and her many nephews.
