Funeral service for Cecil Oden Holland will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, March 19, 2012 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA with Rev. Mike Marbut officiating. Interment will follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Vowells Mill, LA. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on March 18, 2012 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA. Cecil Holland, 71 years of age, passed away March 15, 2012. Cecil was born November 8, 1940 to the late Freeborn Holland and Nora Montgomery Holland in Vowells Mill, LA. Cecil was a retired serviceman for Atmos Energy in Natchitoches, LA. He was a 32nd degree mason at the Bellwood Lodge and Lodge #343 in Robeline, LA. Cecil was an outdoorsman, and enjoyed spending his spare time hunting and fishing when he was able. He served his country for four years in the United States Air Force. Cecil was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He is survived his loving wife of 39 years, Martha Jackson Holland of Robeline, LA; two children, Nora Holland Lewis and husband Dwayne of Robeline, LA and Dewey Holland and wife Devin of Joshua, TX; four grandchildren, Braedyn Faith Holland, Rylee James Drexler, Christopher Lewis, and Jonathan Lewis; two sisters, Bonnie Byrd and husband Huey of Hughes Spring, TX and Claudia Voigt of Provencal, LA; four brothers, Truman Holland and wife Yvonne of Natchitoches, LA, Freeman Holland of Provencal, LA, George Holland and wife Norma Jean of Vowells Mill, LA, and Wilmer Holland of Vowells Mill, LA; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Freeborn Holland and Nora Belle Montgomery Holland; two brothers, Roland Holland and Virgy Holland; and one sister, Faye Gandy.
